Curious about watercolor but not sure where to start? This 4-week beginner watercolor course is designed to build confidence one technique at a time. Taught by our very talented and lovely instructor, Jeanne, each 2-hour session focuses on one to two foundational watercolor techniques. This series is a perfect opportunity to experiment and understand how watercolor works without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. We’ll explore techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, layering, blending, texture and simple brush control. The emphasis is on learning how watercolor behaves and how to work with it, rather than creating a perfect finished painting. This class is ideal for beginners or anyone looking to strengthen their fundamentals in a relaxed, encouraging environment. Students may choose to use provided classroom supplies or bring their own watercolor materials. Those who bring their own supplies will receive guidance on how to use and get to know the materials they already own to help build your confidence for painting at home. With a limit of eight students, each artist will receive a great deal of personal and group attention throughout the session. Class registration fee includes all materials and instruction. This series runs for four consecutive weeks. *NOTE: This class is for adults and teens 16+
