MAR/APR WHEEL SERIES: SKILL EXPANSION

Service Description

This 8-week wheel throwing series is for novice potters who have either taken our foundations wheel course or are already proficient in basic centering, throwing and trimming techniques and can independently throw a basic cylindrical vase and/or bowl shape. This series includes 4 classes and 4 open studio times supervised by the instructor. With a limit of three students per class, you'll get an abundance of one on one attention from our wonderfully patient teacher, Natalie, who is a graduate from the College for Creative Studies. A new skill will be introduced during each of the 4 classes held every other week, including how to throw: pottery with lids, pieces of the same size, plates and larger pieces. On the opposite weeks, the instructor will hold an open studio where you will work on your projects and new skills with her support as needed. You will also have unlimited studio drop-ins during the 8-week course, during which you are welcome to work on projects and practice new skills at your own pace and when it is convenient for you. Series registration fee includes 4 classes, 4 open studio sessions, unlimited studio drop-ins during the course, 50lbs of clay and bisque firing for all completed pieces. *NOTE: Glaze materials and glaze firings are NOT included in the series registration. If you would like to glaze and/or glaze fire your pottery at the studio, a separate glaze fee will be assessed for completed pieces. **This class is for adults and teens 16 and older.
