FAIRY & SCARY DOORS CLAY CLASS

Service Description

This scary and fairy door handbuilding workshop is a great class for beginner hand builders of all ages! You'll learn to build a whimsical door of your choosing - make it fairy or make it scary! These sweet little doors are the perfect addition to your fairy garden, a lovely whimsical touch to your favorite tree stump or a fun piece of decor to add to your mantle or bookshelf. This workshop is a great introduction to working with clay and learning about different hand building, slab and texture techniques. With a limited class size, each student will receive personalized attention and support from our lovely instructor and potter Melody from Melody B Pottery. After your door is completed and dried, it will be kiln fired and ready for glaze. You can come back to our Glaze Room (any time during open hours!) to glaze your door however you'd like using our wide selection of glazes. Then, the piece will be fired for a second time, turning into its final waterproof form. Class registration fee includes all clay and glaze materials, tools and instruction. *NOTE: This class is for adults and children ages 8 and older.
