CLAY XMAS ORNAMENTS

Service Description

This clay class is a great introduction to working with clay and learning about different hand building and texture techniques while you also get in the holiday spirit! During this workshop, you'll create 3 to 4 different ornaments using whichever textures and patterns you choose. You can make two-sided patterned ornaments, holiday cookie cutter ornaments or snowflake ornaments — or one of each kind! With a limited number of participants, each student will receive personalized attention and support from our talented instructor and potter Melody from Melody B Pottery. After your ornaments are completed and dried, they will be kiln fired and ready for glaze. You can come back to our Glaze Room (any time during open hours!) to glaze your ornaments however you'd like using our wide selection of glazes. Then, the ornaments will be fired for a second time, turning them into their final form — and ready for your tree (or someone else's)! Class registration fee includes all clay and glaze materials, tools and instruction. *NOTE: This class is suitable for adults and teens. Children over 5 are also welcome to attend, but must be accompanied by an adult who is also participating in the workshop to assist them as needed.
