CLAY FAIRY HOUSE SERIES

Service Description

This beginner-friendly clay hand building series is designed for two people to work together to build a whimsical fairy house. This series includes 3 classes and provides an introduction to several different clay hand building skills and techniques. This workshop is PERFECT for a parent or grandparent and child (or two friends or family members) to do together! There are plenty of components of this project that younger artists can complete as long as they have the support of an adult. For this series, at least one of the pair's participants must be 18 years or older, with the second participant at least 5 years or older. With a limit of 6 pairs, each group will receive personalized attention and support from our talented instructor and potter Melody from Melody B Pottery. After the fairy houses are completed, they will be fired in the kiln so you and your clay partner in crime can return to glaze them in our glaze room at your convenience (any time during the studio's open hours). Then, the fairy houses will be fired for a second time, turning them into their final waterproof form. Series registration fee includes 3 classes, all clay and glaze materials, tools, bisque and glaze firings and instruction for TWO participants creating ONE fairy house together. *NOTE: This class is designed for a fairy house to be created in PAIRS. One registration fee covers the cost for TWO artists working together on a single fairy house. One participant must be 18 years or older, and the other participant must be 5 years or older.
